Q. Does your centre provide nappies for my child?
A. After much research into this option for our centre, Coomera Clubhouse came to the conclusion that many parents have preferred nappy brand choices for their children. We ask parents to bring with them their preferred nappies so that their children can enjoy some comfort from home. The Clubhouse does however supply wipes.
Q. How do your educators manage children's negative behaviour in the centre?
A. The children are taught to be responsible for their behaivours through the use of logical consequence. For example if a child draws on a table he/she will then help to clean it up, if they were to hurt another child they will assist the educator in applying ice-packs etc. We use techniques that focus on encouraging positive behaviours so that the children learn to understand what is desirable.
Q. Are your educators qualified?
A. In Queensland under regulations set out under the Child Care Act, all of our centre staff are required to hold a qualification or be studying toward it. All of our educators meet that requirement and all hold suitability or Blue Cards, allowing them to work with children.
Q. What are your fees?
A. Our centre has approval for the Child Care Benefit or CCB funding. This means if your family is eligible for CCB, you then pay a gap fee that is calculated based on your percentage provided to you by the Family Assistance Office. To find out more about your CCB and what you are entitled to, please phone Family Assistance on 136 150.
