Clubhouse management have some great ideas swirling around, and after some discussion we have decided to start a ‘Playgroup’ for each Saturday morning at the centre when it opens next year. This will be planned to give mothers and fathers of the community a chance to connect with other local parents while the children play in our yard, which is safely tucked away from main roads and fully fenced.
The Clubhouse Playgroup will be open to families and children who do not go to our centre also, allowing children who are not in child care to get that social interaction that they need for their development at different stages.
This playgroup will of course be free but spaces limited, more information will be available as we get closer to our opening date. So you can look forward to grabbing that coffee on a Saturday morning and catching up with some locals while the kids play. As we were unexpectantly at full capacity, we weren’t able to have a playgroup through the week like we would have liked because it would not fit in with our licensing.
What we are looking at doing is a Saturday morning playgroup once we find a suitable person to facilitate that.
With regards to our family day we are planning a day at the centre one weekend with a sausage sizzle etc. We will be keeping everyone informed as soon as we know.
