Parents of the children currently enrolled in our Preschool class- also known as ‘The Wombats’ are invited to join Miss Natalie and Miss Kerri where they will provide information on the QLD Kindergarten Program Guidelines and the program routine.
WHERE: Wombat’s Room, Coomera Clubhouse
WHEN: Tuesday 19th February, 2013
TIME: From 5pm
We would like to invite our parents, carers, grandparents and members of our community to our first morning tea of 2013.
This year the entire team pulled together to put on another spectacular Christmas concert for families and friends of Coomera Clubhouse.
Held annually at the Coomera Anglican College, the show was a huge success- bringing memories to life on stage with a wonderful video produced by Miss Emma, which opened the show perfectly.
Each of our rooms performed Christmas classics and some old favourites- the children really put on quiet a show!
The whole team at Coomera Clubhouse would like to wish the Wombats and those few Goannas all the best with their journey through ‘big school’!
It has been a pleasure for all of our Clubhouse team to see another class of bright faces off to Prep.
We wish them all the best for their days at school and we hope to see you again soon
From Miss Natalie, Miss Kerri, Kylie and all the team!

Our Wombat Preschoolers were very lucky to receive a special visit from Aunty Angela… Read on to see all about it.
Aunty Angela talked to the Wombats about dinosaurs and fossils. She showed photographs of fossils and explained how people find these bones in rocks and soils and dig them up. It is because of fossils that we have an ideas on how dinosaurs looked. Aunty Angela told us about different dinosaurs and their sizes and whether they were meat eaters or plant eaters. She talked to us about how different dinosaurs had parts of their bodies that they used as a weapon to fight off other dinosaurs. For example, Stegosaurus used its tail which had sharp spikes on the end of it. Diplodocus had a long tail that it most likely used as a whip to frighten off its enemies. She mentioned that nobody really knew what colour dinosaurs were and that birds come from dinosaurs. The first bird ever was most like a dinosaur. It had wings and claws at the end of its wings and feathers. Aunty Angela brought in dinosaur toys for us to look at, pictures and cookies. We really enjoyed her visit and learnt lots of new information.
This September we will be showing our ‘True Colours’ and raising money for the Fight Cancer Foundation. Coomera Clubhouse will be participating by dressing in our favourite team’s colours and raising awareness for this important cause.
Join in on the fun, dress up and donate! More information at www.footycoloursday.com.au
The Clubhouse Kids worked very hard on their Easter Bonnet and put on quite a parade at the centre last Thursday.
They even got a special visit from the Easter Bunny who delivered eggs to all the boys and girls (and some of the parents!!!).
Our apologies, we have been so busy settling into our new year at Coomera Clubhouse that we had neglected to post about our Preschool Grauduation of 2011!
Congratulations to our Wombats, who all graduated at the top of their class last year in December.
As we only opened in January of 2011, these children were our first preschool class and very special.
We wish them all our best at their journey through ‘big school’. We are very sure that they will all do very well
